About the Division of Facilities Direction:

This work unit exists to plan, design, construct, operate, maintain, and manage the Colorado Section of Human being Services (CDHS) facilities and campuses co-ordinate to all applicable standards in a manner that promotes the CDHS mission of providing a safe, germ-free, and effective environs for clients, youth, residents, consumers, and staff and enhances the quality of life in CDHS facilities and campuses and in the surrounding neighborhoods.

The facilities managed by the Division of Facilities Management (DFM) include 1,400 acres of land and 349 buildings comprised of three.8 one thousand thousand square anxiety. Description of Job

This position exists to maintain all facility systems in a complete and thorough journeyman like manner; using proper procedures, tools and equipment. Perform routine and preventative maintenance as required on kitchen equipment throughout the Northern District facilities.   As well, perform routine and preventative maintenance as required for plumbing systems, mechanical and HVAC systems and architectural features and components. Repair systems and components damaged by abuse or normal wear and tear to maintain the facility functions and therapeutic surround.

Duties include, but are non limited to the following:

  • Perform general routine maintenance functions in all Northern District Facilities.
  • Respond to work requests phoned into the maintenance dispatch desk during normal operating and after hours.
  • Check work orders for work to be done. Communicate and co-ordinate with co-workers and nutritional services staff as needed.
  • PM / repair ability slicers, tin openers, bread slicers and other electrically operated kitchen equipment to include only not limited to sharpen and install new cutting knives.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all steam-operated kitchen equipment including but non limited to: hot water boosters, coffee urns and hot water dispensers, cook/steam combination ovens, and kettles.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all electrically-operated kitchen equipment and appliances including only not limited to: ovens, toasters, dish machines, hot water boosters, power slicers, mixers, choppers and blenders. Troubleshooting of kitchen equipment to include but not limited to microprocessor, circuit boards, and relays.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all gas-operated kitchen equipment including combination steam/cook ovens, large rotating bake oven, and large commercial ranges.
  • Maintain and repair all specialty equipment in the commercial bake shop including but not limited to: large commercial mixers, spiral dough mixer, rounders, dividers, cookie machine, pie automobile, bun slicer, breadstuff slicer, proofers, and large rotating bake oven.
  • Order parts and supplies, including providing specs and guidance to nutritional services staff with ordering of new equipment. Keep inventory of needed replacement parts. Assist in the installation and set-upward of new equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment of all types, which includes but is not limited to: cleaning, oiling and greasing, making necessary adjustments, and finding potential problems.
  • Perform routine and scheduled snowfall removal, also utilize ice melt every bit needed.
  • Making sure work is done properly and to high standard of excellence.
  • Assist other trades as necessary.
